About Try Tag Rugby

Welcome to the Try Tag Rugby website, the home of Tag Rugby in The UK.

Tag Rugby is a minimal contact team game in which each player wears shorts with velcro patches with two tags attached to them. The mode of play is similar to Touch Rugby with attacking players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" - pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier. Ball movement and back line play is actively encouraged in Tag Rugby, the ball is allowed to touch the ground and some kicking is allowed. Try Tag Rugby use the Oztag rules of Tag Rugby.

Mixed Tag Rugby

Try Tag Rugby have mixed and men's weekday evening leagues running all across London year round. Try Tag Rugby are the only organisation in London who run week night Tag or Touch Rugby outside of summer under floodlights. Try Tag Rugby are internationally recognised, being the official UK delegates of the International Tag Football Federation.
