Anthony Micallef has joined Try Tag Rugby until September as Tag Rugby reaches unprecedented heights this summer across London.

Try Tag Rugby will run competitions across eight locations in London ranging from Finsbury Park in the North to Croydon in the far south London and Richmond in the South West.

With the game growing rapidly across England, the experienced rugby league administrator and coach flew in from the Maltese Islands last week and wasted no time getting involved at Finsbury Park.

The 28-year-old said, "I'm looking forward to working with Try Tag Rugby’s growing membership of players across London. Also Try Tag Rugby's feature events of the year commencing in July with the London Skolars (July 4th) & Harlequins Tag Rugby Festival (July 31st) and the London Tag Rugby Championships on August 29th.

“Tag Rugby is an exciting sport that I’ve been lucky to be involved with both in Australia on and off the field, and in Malta where we use it for Rugby League training” said Micallef.

“What attracted me to Try Tag Rugby in London is the highly social aspect of the competition. It's a great opportunity for men and women of all ages to enjoy an exciting game that has that added social element for those that wish to extend their network in one of the world’s most vibrant cities”
