New Spring Tag Rugby Competitions Launched

The team at Try Tag Rugby are pleased to announce two Spring competitions set to launch next month.

There will be one competition commencing in South East London at the City of London Academy, Bermondsey (closest tube station - Bermondsey) and the other in North West London at Cardinal Hinsley school, Willesden (closest station - Willesden Junction). Both competitions will be in the mixed format & run for 4 weeks duration.

This will lead into our summer season where we will have 8 competitions across London. Venues that have been confirmed for competitions in late April include King George's Park (Southfields - Monday night, Men's & Mixed) & Gladstone Park (Dollis Hill).

The popular North London Tag Rugby competition at Finsbury Park will re-commence in April on Wednesday (Mixed) & Thursday nights (Men's & Ladies), starting April 21st & April 22nd respectively.

Bermondsey which is one stop on the Jubilee line from Canary Wharf, will be 7 a side and run on Monday nights with the first week being March the 22nd. This venue is an astroturf surface with shower, toilet & change room facilities.

Individuals entry fees are £23
Team entry fees are £200

Willesden which will be 6 a side, will run on Thursday nights starting March 25th. This venue is an astroturf surface with shower, toilet & change room facilities.

Individual entry fees are £20
Team entry fees are £180

Tag Rugby shorts are compulsory for play and can be purchased for £10. The deadline for registrations is Monday, March the 15th and registration forms can be found on the right hand side of the website.

As well as the usual benefits offered to our Tag Rugby players in the way of discounted gym memberships, sports nutrition and other benefits, all competing players will be eligible for our upcoming representative fixtures.

April 24th - Anzac Sports Challenge: London Australia Vs London New Zealand (men's)
TBC - London England Vs London Australia (mixed)
TBC - London England Vs London Ireland (men's)

New players are welcome in both competitions. Given the short length of the spring competitions it's a great opportunity to try out Tag Rugby even if you have no Rugby experience or have previously played other Rugby forms such as Touch Rugby, Rugby League or Rugby Union.

Spaces are limited so get in early to avoid missing out. A deposit of £15 for individuals & £100 for teams will guarantee your place in the competition.
