Try Tag Rugby would like to officially launch the new Thursday night mixed Tag Rugby league being held at Southwark Park, Bermondsey. This competition has been launched due to the overwhelming success of the Monday mixed league held at the same venue. Canary Wharf Tag RugbyThe Monday league has proven so popular that it is now completely full and closed to new registrations.

The Thursday competition which is held just one stop from Canary Wharf and an easy commute from London City will kick-off on July 22nd and run for for 6 weeks through until August 26th. We are still actively looking for teams, part-teams and individuals to join this league which will no doubt prove very popular socially due to the location of the China Hall pub directly across the road from Southwark Park.

If you currently play in another Try Tag Rugby competition and wish to play a second night of the week at Bermondsey, you will receive a free Try Tag Rugby playing shirt if you sign up for this league. This offer also stands for any players who wish to sign up for any other second league in need of players. The cost for this league is £28 for an individual and £260 for a team.

Tour Ireland with Try Tag Rugby

Summer in Europe is a great time to travel. For many Londoners a holiday to Europe will involve attending a festival such as La Tomatina, The Running of the Bulls or one of Europe’s music festivals.

One recent addition to the festival circuit is Ireland’s Tag Rugby festivals. In county Limerick, Bruff RFC hosts the Bull n Booze festival. Situated in the heart of Ireland’s beautiful countryside, in 2009 this festival attracted 38 teams. With many teams opting to camp next to the club house, the party begins on Friday night and doesn't end until early Sunday morning. Despite some sore heads, the action on the field is hot, with the A grade division being of a standard that would test some of the best Oztag or Kiwi Tag players from down under.

Try Tag Rugby London will be attending the 2010 “Bull n Booze” festival on Saturday August 14th 2010. We intend to send both an A grade and a social side. Currently six players have booked flights and others are encouraged to follow suit.

As the inventors of Tag Rugby, London Australia will undoubtedly start favourites, however with hundreds of new English players signed up to Tag Rugby competitions across London, what the England squad lacks in experience, they will make up with in enthusiasm and depth. London England Tag Rugby
