The first of the three major London tournaments of the year, Try Tag Rugby’s annual Spring Tournament returns in April 2026 with a full day of Tag Rugby followed by the first tournament after party of the year!
WHAT TO EXPECT

- Pool stages followed by a Cup, Plate, Bowl or Shield competition for their category

CATEGORIES
Back by popular demand, we are pleased to bring you three categories:
- Mixed Beginner – New to Tag Rugby this year? A relaxed, welcoming space to give it a go and have some fun.
- Mixed Social – This category is a great fit if your team knows how to play Tag Rugby. The majority of your team’s skill level is amateur, self taught, and you’ve had no formal continuous training.
- Mixed Competitive – The perfect category to flex your skills and play some great heads up Tag Rugby. Your skill level is intermediate to high. You’ve attended training sessions and understand how to play with structure.
FORMAT
- All teams will have a guaranteed game time of 90 minutes.
- Maximum of 12 players per squad, maximum of four 1-point scoring players on the pitch at any one time.
- Standard 7-a-side Try Tag Rugby rules apply for all categories.
- All players must be registered for insurance purposes. Squads must be complete by 29th March.
- International cap limits apply. Please see information further down this page.
- Try Tag Rugby reserves the right to move teams into new categories if they have self-assessed incorrectly.
- Players must be 18 or over.
VENUE
King’s House Sports Ground, Riverside Drive, Chiswick W4 2SP.
- A ten minute walk from Barnes Bridge train station.
- A ten minute drive from Chiswick Roundabout and the M4. Free parking available.
- Changing and shower facilities available.
- Please note, dogs are not permitted at this venue unless required for assistance.
ON THE DAY
Teams are welcome to arrive onsite from 09:30 with the first games starting at 10:30. Play will conclude by 18:30.
King’s House in house caterers will be onsite throughout the day ensuring you have lots of delicious options to keep yourself energised between matches. The after-match social, featuring DJ Astech, will run until midnight.
Spectators are welcome free of charge and can stay for the after party.
No alcohol will be permitted to be brought on site.
PLAYING KIT
ITF approved Tag Rugby shorts or tights are compulsory, available from the Try Tag Rugby shop. A limited number of shorts will also be available to hire on the day for £8.

REGISTRATION
Register by 29 March — spaces are limited and will close as soon as we reach capacity!
Team registration – £270 for squads of 12.
Individual registration – £28 and we will assign you to a team. Perfect for making new friends! Want to sign up a small group? Sign up as individuals and contact us with the players’ names.
An international player cap applies for this event. Please see the details below. It is the team’s responsibility to ensure the limit is not exceeded, if you have any queries, please contact us.
INTERNATIONAL PLAYER POINTS
Mixed Competitive – 6 points maximum
Skill level is intermediate to high. Players have attended training sessions (rugby or Tag Rugby) and understand how to play with structure.
Mixed Social – 3 points maximum
The majority of the team’s skill level is amateur, self taught, and they’ve had no formal continuous training.
Mixed Beginner – 0 points
For teams that are new to Tag Rugby / less than 1 year playing.
Players count towards the cap if they:
- Played international Tag Rugby representing a nation in 2025.
- Were named in the 2025 GB Tournament Squad – these players can be found on the International Talent Cap Players for 2026 Events
Point values:
- 1 point – Capped at Open or Seniors level
- 0.5 points – Capped in U22s or Masters level
- 0 points – Capped in Over 50s
