TagFest Edinburgh 2026

We’re back for a bigger and better TagFest Edinburgh 2026! With more team spaces available than ever, we’re ready to welcome players from the U.K., Ireland and Europe to Edinburgh for a day of Tag Rugby and much more!

WHAT TO EXPECT

• 40 teams across four categories
• 90 minutes of game time
• Pool stages followed by a Cup, Plate, Bowl or Shield competition for their category
• Food & bar
• Fancy dress theme
• DJ playing until late
• Travelling teams from all over the UK, Ireland & Europe

CATEGORIES 

Teams will be divided in 4 categories, with team seeding being decided by TTR. Ensure squads are up to date by Friday, 14th August to facilitate this.

FORMAT

• All teams will have a guaranteed game time of 90 minutes.
• Maximum of 12 players per squad, maximum of four 1-point scoring players on the pitch at any one time.
• Standard 7-a-side Try Tag Rugby rules apply for all categories.
• All players must be registered for insurance purposes. Squads must be complete by 14th August.
• Players must be 18 or over.

VENUE

Inch Park, Edinburgh, EH16 5UD 

• A 24 minute bus journey from Waverley station (Bus 29, 3, 8)
• A 15 minute cycle from Waverley Station.
• Limited free parking available on site with overflow parking at Cameron Toll Shopping Centre. Car Share and/or use public transport where possible.
• Changing and shower facilities available.
• Dogs are welcome

ON THE DAY

Teams are welcome to arrive onsite from 09:30 with the first games starting at 11:00. Play will conclude by 18:00.

Food vendors and After Party venue – To Be Announced.

Spectators are welcome free of charge to Inch Park and are welcome to attend the presentation. After-party entry and details still to come.

No alcohol will be permitted to be brought on site.

PLAYING KIT

ITF approved Tag Rugby shorts or tights are compulsory, available via card at our shop on the day. A limited number of shorts will also be available to hire on the day.

Fancy dress is always an important part of TagFest Edinburgh. The theme for this year will be announced on our social media before the event.

REGISTRATION

Register by 7th August — spaces are limited and will close as soon as we reach capacity!

Team registration is £280 per squad of 12 players
Individual registration is £29 per player

An international player cap applies for this event. Please see the details below. It is the team’s responsibility to ensure the limit is not exceeded, if you have any queries, please contact us.

INTERNATIONAL PLAYER POINTS

All teams at TagFest Edinburgh have 4 points maximum.

Players count towards the cap if they:

• Played international Tag Rugby representing a nation in 2025.
• Were named in the 2025 GB Tournament Squad – these players can be found on the International Talent Cap Players for 2026 Events

Point values:

• 1 point – Capped at Open or Seniors level
• 0.5 points – Capped in U22s or Masters level
• 0 points – Capped in Over 50s
