The Try Tag Rugby Thames Valley Early Summer Leagues are now open for registration. In addition to our existing Reading League (Monday) we are excited to announce the launch of our first ever League in Oxford (Wednesday).
The start dates for the leagues are Monday 20th May for the Reading League and Wednesday 29th May for the Oxford League.
New players and teams of all skill and fitness levels (from beginners to experienced Rugby players) are welcome to join both the leagues. There will be a friendly League Organiser at the venue to go through the rules with any new players on your first night.
Games in both leagues will be 40 minutes long and played in the mixed 7-a-side format with a maximum of 4 males on the pitch.
Registration is open to whole teams, part-teams (groups) and individual players who would like to be placed in a team. Team places are available strictly on a first to pay the deposit basis until a league sells out.
Both leagues come with post-match social venues so that you can socialise with your team mates and opposition.
Specific details for the leagues vary, therefore please see click on the league names in red in the table below for specific information on each league including pricing. For more general information on Tag Rugby and how our leagues work, please watch our ‘What is Tag Rugby?’ video to the right or see our FAQ section.
If you are unsure or would just prefer to give it a try first before deciding whether to sign up for a league we have Free Taster Sessions taking place in Reading on Monday 13th May and in Oxford on Wednesday 15th May and Wednesday 22nd May. Click here to sign up for a session.

Tag Rugby Shorts
Official Try Tag Rugby shorts or Try Tag Rugby ladies' tights are essential equipment for playing the game, and must be purchased before taking to the pitch in all Try Tag Rugby competitions.
Shorts can always be bought from Try Tag Rugby staff by paying £12 in cash at all our leagues or events. If you already have a pair of Tag Rugby shorts or Tag Rugby tights, please note due to safety reasons (ie length of the shorts being longer than the tags) and consistency (ie strength and location of the velcro patch) the only other brands of Tag Rugby shorts or Tag Rugby tights we allow in our leagues are brands sanctioned by the International Tag Federation such are Oztag, SAS (NZ Tag Football) and ITRA (Ireland). Homemade shorts, any other brands of shorts and Tag Rugby belts are strictly not allowed.
As both the number of teams and number of venues continues to grow, we are on the lookout for experienced players or people with experience of refereeing other sports to get involved as referees. For further details and to find out about upcoming referee's workshops click here.
