New Women's League in Yorkshire

Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire is pleased to announce plans for our first ever Women's League, taking place in Roundhay in North Leeds on Tuesdays from 23rd April.

Whilst mixed leagues have traditionally been most popular in Yorkshire, single-sex leagues are the most popular form of the game in Australia and New Zealand and are becoming more and more popular throughout the UK.

For female players, joining a women's league is a great way to take your game to the next level. Steph McCabe, a London women's league player and keen advocate of the women's game explains "Since joining an all women's league I've seen female players of all backgrounds gain insurmountable confidence in game management and seen their skills improve enormously.

"I'd strongly urge the women of Yorkshire to join an all-female Tag Rugby team this summer to see what you can achieve together, both on and off the field."

We also encourage any Rugby, Netball, Hockey or other sports teams to get involved as use the Roundhay Women's League as a great way to keep your skills and fitness up in your off season or alongside training.

A special first season offer of £300 per team or £33 for players joining a team is available. For the specific details on the league, click here.

Women's coaching sessions

A Free Women's coaching session will take place in the build up to the league. This session is a great opportunity to learn some new skills in various parts of the game.
