National Development Squad launched
Great Britain Tag Rugby and Try Tag Rugby are pleased to launch a Great Britain National Development Squad (NDS) to develop and nurture talent within the sport.
Great Britain representative player Daniel Ampaw will head up the training of the NDS.
“The NDS is about maximising the potential of our pool of players and to help give the players the skills and experience needed to play Tag Rugby at international level,” said Great Britain Programme Director Toby Hartley.
“The focus is on helping players develop the physical, tactical, technical and mental skills required to excel in leagues, tournaments, and ultimately to represent Great Britain in the future.”
The National Development Squad will meet periodically for training and the full NDS will train with the British & Irish Cup train-on squads by invitation.
Players wanting to be considered for the NDS should make themselves known to Great Britain coaches with a view to being invited.
