Ireland are current holders of the British & Irish Cup following a win by the narrowest of margins in 2018 with both nations winning two categories each, Ireland the Mixed Open and Women's Seniors with Great Britain winning Men's Open and Men's Seniors. The cup came down to a matter of competition points accumulated throughout the tournament, Ireland clinching the trophy with a total of 26 competition points to Great Britain's 22.
