Do you have friends who would enjoy being part of the Try Tag Rugby community?
With the Early Summer leagues approaching, now is the perfect time to introduce someone new to the sport and community. If you refer a friend who goes on to register and play this season, you could win Free Tag Rugby for a Year.
Many of our players first discovered tag rugby through a friend. Now it is your turn to spread the word.
We are giving away two prizes of Free Tag Rugby for a Year, covering entry to five league seasons and one tournament.
How it works
If you refer a friend who registers and plays in a Try Tag Rugby league this season, you will receive one entry into the prize draw.
If you refer someone who goes on to enter a brand new team, you will receive 10 entries into the draw.
To qualify, the player simply needs to enter your full name in the referral box when they register.
The more friends you introduce, the more chances you have of winning.
Who could you introduce to tag rugby?
Think of three friends who would enjoy playing tag rugby this summer. Most players first discover the sport through a friend.
It could be a colleague from work, a group of friends looking for something social and active, or former teammates from other sports who might enjoy getting back into a team environment.
Try Tag Rugby now runs leagues across 35 towns, cities and boroughs throughout the UK, including:
Bingley, Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove, Bristol, Coventry & Warwickshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London (Central, East, North, South & West), Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, Reading, Salford, Sheffield, Wakefield, Wigan and York.
So even if your friends do not live near your league, there is a good chance they can find a game close to home.
If you are not sure what to send them, you could simply share something like this:
“Fancy trying tag rugby this summer? I play in a local league and it is great fun. There are beginner friendly leagues across the UK. If you sign up, put my name in the referral box as I could win a year of free tag.”
Try a Free Taster Session
A great way for new players to get started is by attending one of our Free Taster Sessions, taking place across the UK throughout April.
These sessions are designed for beginners and are a relaxed way to learn the basics, meet other players and get a feel for the community before joining a league.
