Popular Thames Valley Tag Rugby rivalry returns as Oxford RFC hosts the next chapter of the Oxford vs Reading Origins series.
Origins Part IV: Oxford vs Reading – Rivalry Continues
The popular Oxford vs Reading Origins series returns this May as Origins Part IV takes place at Oxford Rugby Football Club on Saturday 9th May 2026.
The Origins event has become a highlight of the Thames Valley Tag Rugby calendar, bringing together players from across Oxford and Reading for a festival of competitive and social Tag Rugby.
With the series currently standing at 2–1 to Reading, and Oxford claiming victory in the most recent edition, anticipation is building for the next chapter of this friendly regional rivalry.
Players will compete across several divisions including Selected Mixed, Men’s and Women’s, Social Mixed, Men’s and Women’s and New Players Mixed, ensuring opportunities for both experienced and newer players to take part in the event.
Matches will run from 11:30am to 5:00pm at Oxford RFC, with a post-tournament social and presentations planned afterwards.
Free camping will be available all weekend.
Individual registration for Origins Part IV is now open, with entry priced at £30 per player.
