We’ve launched new WhatsApp Communities to help Try Tag Rugby players and team organisers connect more easily when teams are short or players are looking for games in their local area.
Each Community gives players and organisers a central place to find and offer help when it’s needed. Whether you’re trying to fill your squad or fancy getting a runaround, joining your local Community makes it easier to get involved.
Why We’re Moving to WhatsApp
WhatsApp is now the most-used messaging platform across our player base, so it makes sense to bring things together there. These Communities are built for quick, direct communication and help reduce the time it takes to find players when teams are short.
You’ll find a regional ringer group inside each Community. Over the coming months, we’ll be trialling additional groups for things like social events and other updates.
Who Can Join?
Registered players with Try Tag Rugby are welcome to join their region’s Community. That includes team organisers and players looking to pick up additional games as a ringer.
More regions may be added in future.
What About Privacy?
Your phone number will only be visible to people in the specific group(s) you join, such as York Ringers. It is not visible across the wider Community. You’re free to leave a group or Community at any time.
