Manchester Autumn Tournament 2026 & Betfred Super League Final

Try Tag Rugby Manchester’s annual Autumn Tournament returns on Saturday 3rd October 2026 with a full day of Tag Rugby followed by the Super League Grand Final! Slightly earlier in the year due to the Rugby League World Cup… will we see a tournament full of world class tag?

Inviting players and teams of all standards from across the UK to enjoy a day of Tag Rugby before heading for Old Trafford to enjoy the Super League Grand Final from our RFL exclusive seats with their own bar area before, during and after the game. 2025 once again saw a record number of teams, with teams travelling from Edinburgh, Brighton, Yorkshire, and Newcastle to contribute to a fantastic day. We expect demand to be high once again, and places to fill up fast.

FORMAT

• All games will be 7-a-side and will have a guaranteed game time of 75 minutes
• 12 players per squad, maximum 4 male players on the pitch at any one time
• Teams are allowed a maximum of six 2026 Great Britain players per squad
• Teams will be seeded based on submitted squads. Squads must be complete Wednesday 23rd September
• Seeding is done at the discretion of Try Tag Rugby Manchester, incomplete squads may result in higher seeding than expected
• All players must be registered for insurance purposes
• Regular Try Tag Rugby Rules apply for all divisions
• Consumption of alcohol is prohibited until the tournament has concluded

VENUE

This event will take place at Sale (Trafford MV) Finny Bank Rd, Sale M33 6LR. Full male and female changing facilities are available on-site for use before, during and after the tournament.

ON THE DAY

Teams will need to arrive for registration no later than 09:00 with the first games starting at 09:30 (TBC). Play will be completed by 15:00 (TBC) with an after-match social in the clubhouse running until 23:30 for those who do not wish to go to the Super League Grand final.

PLAYING KIT

ITF approved Tag Rugby shorts or tights are compulsory, available from the Try Tag Rugby shop in advance or via card on the day. Details on ITF Approved (Tag Rugby) Shorts / Details on Kit Items not Permitted. Shorts will also be available to hire on the day.

REGISTRATION

Team registration is available at the cost of £270 for squads of 12. Individuals can register for £31. If registering as an individual we’ll add you to a team or create a team of other individuals. Register using the links below.

Please note: There is a strict 9am Tuesday 1st September Deadline to purchase Grand Final Tickets. We are aware this is considerably earlier than previous years, however due to increased demand for the event, we are required to secure the tickets further in advance.
