TagFest London 2023 saw a triumphant return to Richmond Athletic Ground and an expanded number of off-field activities join the festival line-up as Tag Sports UK ran a variety of non-Tag games and activities.  TagFest London 2024 will continue that trend with further sports slated to run alongside the Tag action.

TagFest London 2024 will continue to include, engage and entertain players like no other Tag Rugby tournament. After a full day of Tag Rugby, the post tournament party will run late into the night with four times world champion DJ Mr Switch headlining the entertainment. Put simply this is the ultimate Tag event for your calendar!

Over the coming months we’ll be announcing more details about the off-field activities and events that will take place throughout the day and into the evening at TagFest London 2024 but we can already confirm that there will once again  be multiple bars onsite and an elite line-up of TTR’s best reviewed food partners to keep you fed and “watered” throughout the festival.

TagFest London 2024 will continue at Richmond Athletic Ground, in South-West London, just a ten minute walk from Richmond tube station. We are looking forward to welcoming our widest array of tournament attendees as teams head to the tournament from across the UK, Ireland, France and beyond.

The first matches of TagFest London 2024 will kick-off at 10am and culminate with the Division 1 final on the main pitch, in front of the after party area. The winners’ presentations will take place shortly after the final.

All teams will play through the pool stages to determine whether they make it into the Cup, Plate, Bowl or Shield competition for their division. The four divisions will have staggered finish times to allow easy access to the bar for a well earned drink or three after your final.

  • All teams will have a guaranteed game time of 90 minutes with 8 team spaces in Division 1 and 32 spaces in each of Division 2, 3 and 4
  • Maximum of 12 players per squad and a maximum of 4 male players on the pitch at any one time
  • Division 1 will play 8-a-side with full international rules. Try Tag Rugby’s standard rules apply for Divisions 2, 3 & 4 which will be 7-a-side
  • Division 1 squads can have a maximum of 10 players who were capped internationally in 2023* while there can be no more than four internationals per team in Division 2; no more than two in Division 3; and none in Division 4
  • Division 4 is primarily for beginner teams and therefore should be entered by teams predominantly made up of players involved in their first tag tournament. More experienced but still very social teams should instead enter Division 3
  • All players must be registered for insurance purposes
  • Teams will be seeded based on submitted squads. Squads must be complete by Wednesday 22nd May
  • Seeding is done at the discretion of Try Tag Rugby, incomplete squads may result in higher seeding than expected
  • Consumption of alcohol by players is prohibited until the tournament has concluded

On completion of the finals, the presentation will take place on the main stage before the after party kicks-off for all players with live music, multiple bars and food options. DJ Mr Switch headlines the entertainment with the dance area running until midnight.

After Party & Non Player Tickets
TagFest London 2024 is a fully ticketed event. With plenty of entertainment on and off the field, we would encourage friends & family of those participating to come along for the day & evening to take in the flavour of the event.

Combined after-party and spectator early bird tickets will go on sale in January 2024.

Spread the word with friends and family so that they don’t miss out on the fun!

Try Tag Rugby are excited to continue their partnership with the popular host venue of the 2021 and 2023 TagFest London. The 2024 tournament will take place at Richmond Athletic Ground, Twickenham Rd, Richmond TW9 2SF, just a ten minute walk from Richmond train station. The venue is also just off the M3 and M4 for travelling teams wishing to drive, however we’d encourage all attendees to arrive by public transport where possible.

Full female and male changing facilities are available on site for use before, during and after the tournament – particularly important for getting yourself changed into your after party outfit once the games are finished. Please note, dogs are not permitted at this venue unless required for assistance.

Fixtures for the day are scheduled to take place between 10am and 7pm with exact divisional timings to be confirmed once seeding is complete. The winners presentation will follow the Division 1 Grand Final with the official after party then running until midnight.

Five food vendors will be on-site throughout the day’s play and into the evening providing a variety of culinary options for teams and spectators while two outside and two inside bars will keep the drinks following during the biggest after party of the year!
