CATEGORIES 

We are excited to announce the following categories for Autumn Tournament 2025:

  • Mixed Beginner’s Social – New to Tag Rugby this year? A relaxed, welcoming space to give it a go and have some fun. 
  • Mixed Open Social – This category is a great fit if your team knows how to play Tag Rugby. The majority of your team’s skill level is amateur, self taught, and you’ve had no formal continuous training. 
  • Mixed Open Competitive – The perfect category to flex your skills and play some great heads up Tag Rugby. Your skill level is intermediate to high. You’ve attended training sessions and understand how to play with structure. 
  • Men’s Over 37s – Open to all 1-point players aged 37 and over from the date of the Tournament.

FORMAT

  • All teams will have a guaranteed game time of 90 minutes.
  • Maximum of 12 players per squad, maximum of four 1-point scoring players on the pitch at any one time in the mixed categories.
  • Standard 7-a-side Try Tag Rugby rules apply for all categories.
  • All players must be registered for insurance purposes. Squads must be complete by  7th October 9:00am.
  • International cap limits apply. Please see information further down this page.
  • Try Tag Rugby reserves the right to move teams into new categories if they have self-assessed incorrectly. 

VENUE

King’s House Sports Ground, Riverside Drive, Chiswick W4 2SP.

  • A ten minute walk from Barnes Bridge train station. 
  • A ten minute drive from Chiswick Roundabout and the M4. Free parking available.
  • Female and male changing and shower facilities available. 
  • Please note, dogs are not permitted at this venue unless required for assistance.

ON THE DAY

Teams are welcome to arrive onsite from 09:30 with the first games starting at 11:00. Play will conclude by 17:30. 

King’s House in house caterers will be onsite throughout the day ensuring you have lots of delicious options to keep yourself energised between matches. The after-match social, featuring DJ Astech, will run until midnight.

Spectators are welcome free of charge and can stay for the after party.

No alcohol will be permitted to be brought on site.

PLAYING KIT

ITF approved Tag Rugby shorts or tights are compulsory, available from the Try Tag Rugby shop. A limited number of shorts will also be available to hire on the day.

INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS

Open Competitive: 6 points maximum
Open Social: 1 point maximum
Beginners Social: 0 points
Men’s Over 37s: 2 points maximum

To keep teams balanced, an international player cap applies.

Players count towards the cap if they:

  • Were capped internationally in 2024 or 2025, or
  • Are named in the 2025 British & Irish Cup squads

Point values:

  • 1 point – Capped at Open or Seniors level
  • 0.5 points – Capped in U22s, Women’s Masters, or Men’s Masters
  • 0 points – Only capped in Over 50s

REGISTRATION

Team registration – £255 for squads of 12.
