TagFest Oxford 2026

TagFest Oxford is back, baby! The marquee camping Tag Rugby festival of the year returns to Oxford Rugby Football Club, bringing together social teams from across the UK for a weekend of Tag, great competition on the field but more importantly a superb atmosphere off field all weekend long – Camp Fires, DJ’s and Live Music. There is a competition for everyone and all are welcome, registrations are now open, so if you want to play don’t delay. We suspect this year’s event will be sold out!

WHAT TO EXPECT

• 24+ teams
• 90 minutes of game time
• Pool stages followed by Cup, Plate, Bowl or Shield playoffs
• Social and beginner friendly
• Free Camping all weekend

• Travelling teams from all over the UK, Ireland & Europe

FORMAT

• All teams will have a guaranteed game time of 90 minutes
• Maximum of 12 players per squad, maximum of four 1-point scoring players on the pitch at any one time
• Standard 7-a-side Try Tag Rugby rules
• All players must be registered for insurance purposes. Squads must be complete by 20th June
• International cap limits apply. Please see information further down this page. Contact us if your team requires assistance with this.
• Players can be aged 16 or over on the day of the event.
• Players under the age of 18 will need to provide a completed parent consent form before the day of the tournament.

CAMPING

• Free parking all weekend
• Camping starts from Friday, you can park and pitch your tent from 12pm.
• Female and Male showers and toilets available all weekend
• BBQs are allowed. You can bring your own food and drinks on site. During the festival please purchase drinks from the bar.
• Dogs are permitted to camp as well.

ON THE DAY

Teams are welcome to arrive onsite from 09:00 with the first games scheduled to start at 11:30. Play will conclude by 18:30.

Food vendors will be onsite all day and most of the evening, ensuring you have lots of delicious options to keep yourself energised throughout the day for the matches and the after party. Spectators are welcome free of charge at the tournament and after party.

Alcohol will only be served to non-players during the tournament. Once out of the tournament players are able to purchase alcohol.

PLAYING KIT

ITF approved Tag Rugby shorts or tights are compulsory, available via card at our shop on the day. A limited number of shorts will also be available to hire on the day.

REGISTRATION

Register by 20th June — spaces are limited and will close as soon as we reach capacity!

Team registration is £240 for squads of 12.
Individual registration is £25 and we will try to allocate you to an existing team.

An international player cap applies for this event. Please see the details below. It is the team’s responsibility to ensure the limit is not exceeded, if you have any queries, please contact us.

INTERNATIONAL PLAYER POINTS

All teams at TagFest Oxford have 4 points maximum.

Players count towards the cap if they:

• Played international Tag Rugby representing a nation in 2025.
• Were named in the 2025 GB Tournament Squad – these players can be found on the International Talent Cap Players for 2026 Events

Point values:

• 1 point – Capped at Open or Seniors level
• 0.5 points – Capped in U22s or Masters level
• 0 points – Capped in Over 50s
