TagFest landed in Newcastle for the first time — and what an entrance it made. With an incredible turnout, buzzing atmosphere, and unforgettable performances both on and off the pitch, thanks to you lot – the first TagFest in Newcastle was an absolute belter.
A Huge Thank You to the Tag Community
From players to supporters, referees to performers, the energy and enthusiasm shown by everyone made this event something truly special. Whether you came for the tag, the tunes, or just to soak up the sunshine, we can’t thank you enough for showing up and making it one for the books.
Shoutout to the Referees
Officiating matches under the heat of the summer sun is no easy feat, but our amazing team of nine referees kept the games running smoothly with professionalism and energy throughout the day. A special congratulations goes to Olivia Murray (Edinburgh), our well-deserved Referee of the Day.
We also couldn’t be prouder of Lucy, who stepped up to referee despite having fewer than 20 games under her belt prior to TagFest. She was presented with her official TTR ref shirt in front of a cheering crowd – a moment that summed up everything great about the TagFest spirit.
The After-Party: Tag Meets Spice
If the games were high-energy, the After-Party at Howlers took things to another level. From surprise Spice Girls singalongs to on-stage karaoke that won’t soon be forgotten, the celebrations continued late into the night.
Highlights? Jason from Newcastle channeling Shania Twain like a pro, Alex from Bristol’s heartfelt (sort of) rendition of Natasha Bedingfield and Ronan from Edinburgh giving it his all — even if no one’s quite sure what he sang!

We’ve captured some incredible moments from both the games and the after-party. Check out the official photo gallery and find yourself in the mix. Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram if you’re sharing the fun.
See You in 2026!
That’s a wrap on TagFest Newcastle 2025. Thank you again for making it such a success. We’re already planning TagFest 2026, and trust us — it’s going to be even bigger and better.
Until next year. 💥
