Expressions of Interest Open for International Invitational Teams – UK Tag Nationals 2026
Try Tag Rugby is now welcoming expressions of interest from regional or provincial sides looking to compete at the highest level of domestic Tag Rugby in the UK.
The UK Tag Nationals is the pinnacle of the domestic calendar, bringing together over 1000 players, coaches and supporters for a one-day showcase of elite competition, regional pride and international-standard Tag Rugby.
In 2026, teams will contest five categories: Mixed Open, Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s 37s and Women’s 34s. Invitational places are available in each category, with one space allocated per category for a team from another International Tag Federation member nation.
The tournament will be played under full international rules in the 8-a-side format, offering a high-performance environment and a key opportunity for players seeking representative honours.
UK Tag Nationals 2026 will take place on Saturday 12 September at the prestigious University of Warwick in Coventry. Its central England location makes it easily accessible for visiting teams, with affordable on-campus accommodation options available.
All invitational teams must be verified by their respective ITF member nation and are expected to compete in their own official team kit.
As well as competing for the category titles, teams will benefit from professional event delivery, live streaming of selected pitches, official team photos and a vibrant tournament atmosphere, culminating in an evening after party.
