After six and a half years, Will Shepherd is leaving Try Tag Rugby to follow his passion for sports broadcasting.

Will has been part of Try Tag Rugby since 2019, starting out as a League Organiser before progressing to other roles, often holding more than role one at a time, including London Leagues Operations Manager, Head of Events and Great Britain Programme Director.

Will has had a huge impact on our community, from shaping leagues to running major national events, to advancing the Great Britain programme.

Try Tag Rugby Co-Founder Alistair Davis paid this tribute to Will’s hard work and dedication during his time at Try Tag Rugby: “What stands out most is his passion and professionalism. I saw it first-hand when he led on the streaming of the Nationals and the B&I Cup, where his love for sports broadcasting really came through. That same passion is now taking him into his next chapter, and I’ve no doubt he’ll go far.

“Will, thank you for everything you’ve done for Try Tag Rugby. You’ll be missed, but we can’t wait to see you thrive in sports broadcasting.”

A successor in the role of Great Britain Programme Director is confirmed with a further announcement coming soon.
